1- Sleeping in a steady position throughout the night

During sleep, bone and muscle stiffness occurs as a result of not moving for a long time, which causes a decrease in blood pressure flow in various parts of the body, including the back.

This can cause morning back pain as soon as you wake up. This pain is usually temporary, and it quickly disappears after moving and practicing daily tasks.

2- The wrong sleeping position

The wrong sleeping position increases the chances of low back pain after sleeping on back, as some positions put pressure on the back and spine, causing back strain and pressure on the joints.

The sleeping position on the stomach is one of the worst positions that cause lower back pain after sleeping on the back, and the best is sleeping on the back or on one side, with a pillow under the knees.

But if sleeping on the stomach is the usual position and cannot be dispensed with, it is recommended to place a pillow under the pelvis or lower abdomen to relieve pressure on the back.

3- Sleeping on an unsanitary mattress

There are many types of mattresses that can be purchased, but some types may be harmful to the body and cause back pain, and using a mattress for a long time can cause back pain.

It is advised to choose a medical mattress that does not cause back pain, and the old mattress should also be changed because it can lead to pain.

Also, you should choose a medical pillow with an appropriate height, as pillows that are too high or pillows that are too thin can cause low back pain after sleeping on back.

4- Using means of cooling and heating

Many people turn on the air conditioner while sleeping in the summer season, and turn on the electric heater while sleeping in the winter season, which increases the likelihood of developing back pain in the morning.

As exposure to extreme cold with directing the conditioner on the body will lead to many problems in the bones.

Also, heating the body all night and then exposure to cold air during the day will cause pain in various parts of the body.

In the event that it is necessary to use the heating or cooling means, it must be at an appropriate temperature, taking care not to shed extreme cold or extreme warmth on the body to eliminate lower back pain after sleeping on back.

5- Pregnancy period

Pain and back cramps during pregnancy are common symptoms, and this may happen in the morning after a long night’s sleep, as a result of the pressure that the fetus puts on the woman’s body, and thus the chances of a pregnant woman having back pain in the second half of pregnancy increase.

Also, many pregnant women do not engage in any sports or physical exertion, which causes stiffness of the bones and joints, and with any movement, the woman feels low back pain after sleeping on back.

To relieve back pain in a pregnant woman, it is recommended to use warm compresses on the affected area and to take care of movement and exercise light exercises that are appropriate for the period of pregnancy.
